I finally took Grace’s 7 month pictures. They really are more like 7 1/2 month pictures- but oh well! Here they are:
I finally took Grace’s 7 month pictures. They really are more like 7 1/2 month pictures- but oh well! Here they are:
Last weekend Grace and I went to Washington DC with mom and dad and checked out Grace’s future home- you know, the While House! Grace was amazing. She didn’t fuss once and was a real trooper.
We walked the capital and to the monuments on friday. Then friday night we met Tom and Susan and Rachel (Carli’s friend from GCC) for dinner at a Greek restaurant. One of the owners of the restaurant loved Grace and brought her out some lemon soup. I know the picture doesn’t show it- but Grace LOVED it!
Then saturday we walked around Georgetown and Sunday was saw old town Alexandria. It was a great time (with lots of great food).
Now this week we’ve been adjusting to being back in Columbus. Grace was rockin’ her GCC shirt today. She’s looking so old! She’s now eating puffs and (kind of) drinking out of a sippy cup. She’s also getting better at sitting up- today at the babysitter she sat unassisted for over 15 minutes.
BZZZZZZZ! Grace decided to be a Bee this Halloween. Wednesday night she came to my work and went “trick or treating” on 9 James. It was so adorable. Some of my coworkers brought their children, the staff all donated candy and we went room to room to see the patients. It was such a good time. (Thanks to Laurie and Jake for bringing Grace so I could show her off!)
Then today Grace has a Halloween party at her babysitters.I wish you could get the whole effect of the legs and arms going- but I couldn't get her to keep the washcloth strategically placed!
Notice all the drool on Grace’s face? She is cutting her first (2) teeth! Her bottom front two teeth are coming through. She’s also sitting up a little more- although still needs some help balancing- and she loves to be “tossed” around. Her favorite thing is to “fly” over our heads and then lay upside down on our legs. She just giggles and giggles. She is so much fun!
Last weekend was GCC’s homecoming. Mom was wonderful and kept Grace so Lisa and I could go out Friday night and then Carli brought Grace out Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful weekend. Friday night was a dinner with past and present Gamma Sigs. Kelsie organized it and it was a big hit. There was a great turnout.
Then Saturday we watched Kelsie in the homecoming parade, walked on campus and had a “sister” dinner with the three of us and Grace. Grace wore her “Hoot Hoot I’m cute” shirt. Maybe a future Gamma Sig??
Oh no! Grace is on the Grass!
Grace has a new(old) toy at Grandma and Grandpa Gerber’s house. She loves her rocker. I can’t believe how big she’s getting!
