Big Week!

We had a busy week this week.  Mom and Dad came back from Spain and so we drove up for a day to go see them. Mom said she couldn’t resist buying Grace’s Halloween costume a little early…

And yes, it comes with a matching Spanish fan and castanets! (I will admit it’s pretty cute!)  All in all it was good to see them even if the trip was a short one.

Then on Tuesday, Lori came to Columbus to visit. Grace napped a little early so we were able to head to Easton for the afternoon.  Grace did wonderful. She wanted to walk most of Easton. She even helped push the stroller. I’m not sure who was more tired at the end of the day, me or her!  Here we are on a little snack break. Who can resist graham crackers!

Then today we met Erin and Madison at COSI for the morning.  The girls loved playing in the water table and climbing in the tree house.

This evening Grace and I were playing in the family room and I thought I heard Katie whining. I realized it had been awhile since she had been around so Grace and I went looking for her. We looked everywhere and couldn’t find her.  Until we went into the bathroom and found this

I have no idea HOW or WHY she was in the bathtub but she was stuck. Grace thought it was great and laughed a lot at Katie. What a silly dog….and little girl!  Have a happy 4th of July weekend everyone!

Summer time!

Last weekend we went to Massillon to visit our friends the Caudill’s and go to their daughter Reagan’s first birthday party. Somehow in the heat and chasing Grace I did not take a single picture. Oops. Then on Sunday we hung out with Carli and Jeremy. Grace loved having other people to play with (including Molly).

 

This week we have enjoying playing and walking with our friends Madison and Erin Yoh. Then today we went to COSI for the first time since it was So Hot outside. They have a section dedicated to younger kids. There was a neat water table that had seats that she could sit in. There were lots of activities for her to explore. We ended up purchasing a season pass so I’m sure there will be many more fun days there.

After we got home it was still hot outside. So Grace went swimming in her pool. We decided swim suits were optional though so she got to go in her birthday suit! (I hopefully censored all the pictures!)

Pool time!

It’s been so hot! I have a blow-up pool for Grace but it’s a pain to blow up since I don’t have a pump. So, today I was at Marc’s and they had these plastic pools for cheap. We filled it up and Grace had a ball.

We’ve also been having fun around town. We met our friend Tracy for lunch and went to the new Columbus Commons. They had a carousel and of course we had to ride it.

 

 

Grace has been super active recently. She has been consistently taking 6-8 steps at a time. The last few days she’s been really interested in her walker that she got for her birthday.  I think she’ll be walking on her own soon!

Ice cream Pj’s!

Grace got these cute PJ’s from Marlene, a woman I work with, for her birthday. It was finally warm enough for her to wear them last week. Isn’t she cute?! She’ll have to wear them to the Dari-ette when we’re in Dalton.

 

It feels like summer!

Grace loves her Aunt Carli!! Carli and Jeremy and my friend Lisa and her husband Dan came over to help me mulch and plant some flowers last weekend. It was great help and much appreciated.

Then after everyone left Grace had a high fever and we ended up going to the urgent care (yet again). She had a viral upper respiratory infection and then developed roseola. Mom came down on Tuesday to help with Grace and give me a chance to get some stuff done. She has Grandma wrapper around her finger as they stopped to read wherever Grace wanted!

Unfortunately I worked this past weekend and Grace spent the weekend with Todd, however I was able to go to Dalton on Monday and Tuesday and Grace and I had a great time. With the weather being so HOT we were able to go swimming and hang out in the air conditioning!

The green and yellow outfit is her swimming outfit. It has floaties in the chest. The last photo shows her trying to blow up a beach ball. She’s watched me blow it up several time and now mimics me. She’s so observant!

LOOOOONG overdue!

It’s been almost a month since I’ve last posted. Not that we haven’t been up to anything- I’ve just been a slacker posting pictures.  Mother’s day passed with me working so it was uneventful. Last week we walked with Erin and Madison. It was actually warm and after we were done we let the girls play a bit on the swings.

Then we met our friends Kathleen and Mallory for some yummy Mexican food and a little playing in the mall play area. Here we are with our matching red hair!

Then this past weekend we went out to Grove City Pennsylvania to see Kelsie graduate! We stayed with my friend Correy Friday night before the big day.

I don’t have any pictures of the graduation as I had Dad’s camera for him but it was raining and outside. Laura Bush was the speaker and Kelsie took her camera on stage and got a picture with the President Dr. Jewell as she received her diploma. All in all it was a wet but fun day.  Then Grace and I stayed in Dalton for a few more days to hang out with the family.

Yes- that pink tub is full of her toys. And yes- she wants to walk in the worst way. My quiet days are over!
