It's been awhile

It's been a few weeks since I've posted. Last week we went to Hilton Head Island. Grace loved being a beach babe. She hung out on the beach and loved going in the water. We had a great time going out to dinner and hanging out with my parents. Grace was wonderful the whole week. She even did great on the car ride down and only had a small meltdown. I think she's going to be a great little traveler!

2 month pictures

Grace slept most of the evening after her shots and was just a little cranky. She's done well the rest of the week. The picture of her in bed is taken after her shots- notice the little bandaids on her thighs. poor baby!

Also an update: Todd is feeling better and even returned to work on Thursday. Thank goodness we're all healthy at the Anderson household once again...

(Edit: I'm not sure why the first picture is the wrong way and I can't get it to turn around- oops!)

2 months old!

This past thursday I met with Erin Yoh and her daughter Madison and we walked at the Park of Roses. It was a beautiful day and we got to talking and walked over 4 miles. It was great to get out and Grace did great, sleeping most of the time. We stopped at the end to take pictures of the girls. Then thursday night Grandma Anderson, Great Grandma McCrea and Great uncle Jeff came over and we all went out to Max and Erma's for dinner.
The weekend brough some "excitement" as saturday Todd ended up in the Emergency room. He was having back and abdominal pain and was found to have appendecitis. They did an appendectomy on sunday and he has come home from the hospital today. Both my parents and Janice came down to help with Grace. Todd is doing well, just tired and sore.
Grace also had her 2 month appointment this afternoon. She's doing great and weighs a whopping 13lbs 3oz and is 23 inches long! She had to have her first round of vaccinations and she cried and cried and I almost cried right along with her! Now she's been sleeping ever since and I'm hoping she'll sleep ok tonight.

Memorial Day Weekend

First real smile on camera!

This is Grace's bed. It is an incline and has been a lifesaver at night. She falls right to sleep in it.

Enjoying dinner out on the deck at Grandma and Grandpa Gerber's house in her bouncy seat (Thanks Kathy Mast!)

First time in the pool. She got her toes wet and although her face looks looks apprehensive she really enjoyed it.

Future Drama Dawg? Visiting Mrs. ED at Dalton High School.

This weekend was a lot of fun. We headed back to Dalton for the long weekend. Grace was dedicated at Salem Mennonite on Sunday. It was a beautiful service and Grace did a great job. I'll have to post pictures when I get some from mom and dad. It was also Darrell Ediger's last sunday as pastor and there was a picnic after church. While it was a little warm, it was a great service.

The rest of the weekend was spent hanging around relaxing. Todd was able to go help Brian do some work his new house in Canton and I was able to go to a graduation party of a family friend on monday. Now we're back in Columbus where Grace experienced her first trip to the basement during a storm last night. We were in a tornado warning when the sirens went off and downstairs we went with the doggies. All turned out ok other than a few downed branches in the back yard. Hopefully the rest of the storms this week are not as exciting!
