I have a blog?! Oh yeah, I have a blog!

I've kind of dropped off the face of the blogging world. Grace and I are fine just busy work work and play. She's growing like a weed and is becoming such a little lady.  She amazes me with how articulate she is.  She loves to sing and run and dance. I have a hard time getting her to leave the house without wearing a princess dress.  We've had a lot of fun playing in the Scioto mile fountains and we were able to go to Hilton Head Island with Mom, Dad, Kelsie and her boyfriend Joey in July.  Grace had a ball.  I'll just post mostly pictures to update and hopefully will get back on the blogging wagon.

Lions and Tigers and Bears

Monday we (finally) had Grace’s 2 year checkup. She weighed in at 34lbs and 36 inches! Off the charts on all accounts.

The weather has been beautiful here recently. It was warm enough that next door at Grace’s sitter’s they were able to get out the wading pools.

Grace loves to sing. We still do her “sing class” every week. She loves to sing songs from that and also the theme song to Winnie-the-Pooh. I heard her singing in her room the other day and managed to get some video.

Then today we went to the Zoo with Madison and Erin Yoh. We saw the polar bears, lions, and primates. The girls had such a good time and were really well behaved. They are becoming such good friends and it’s fun to watch them interact. We spent most of the morning there, packed a lunch and hung out for a bit after.  Grace was so tired that she fell asleep before we even left the parking lot. I was able to transfer her to her bed and she slept soundly for 4 hours!

The tonight after her bath Grace was tired and being ornery. She hit Katie and was sent to time out. But seriously- how could you stay mad at this…

Happy 2nd Birthday Grace!

I had to work the weekend of the 14th so we celebrated Grace’s birthday this past Saturday.  The day, however, started off with a “Very Hungry Caterpillar” shower for Carli.  If I do say so myself the shower was a huge success.  We were able to surprise Carli with her friend Rachel showing up for the shower.  The theme was pretty cute. Mom made these awesome caterpillar table decorations, the food was to die for (thanks Aunts!) and the cake was A-dor-able! All in all it was a great time.

Grace went home for a quick nap then it was party #2 time! Everyone came over for some cake and snacks.

And just like that, my baby is 2 years old!! Happy Birthday to my big girl!

It’s been awhile

The first week in April we got to go with Mom and Dad to Hilton Head SC. Grace had her first airplane ride which went surprisingly well and we made it there in one piece. We enjoyed our week, lots of playing in the waves and good food. I celebrated my 2nd 29th birthday by relaxing. All in all it was a good week.  Then it was back to work for me and Grace spent Easter with her Dad. 

Because I had to work on Grace’s 2nd birthday we will be celebrating with family this upcoming weekend. Grace and I went to the Columbus Zoo today for our little celebration. The weather was threatening rain which was perfect because the zoo was almost empty. It never did rain and we had a great day. We went to the petting zoo, saw the polar bears, monkeys and the fish. Grace’s favorite part was riding the train. I can’t believe my baby is 2 years old. Where did the time go?
