Friends, Zoo Day and COSI

We've been super busy and having lots of fun the last few weeks!

Last Wednesday Grace (and I) went to play with Madison (and her mommy Erin). We had dinner, they played and then the girls took a bath together so Erin could get some stuff done with baby Ellie. Both girls are in the “mine” stage. They had a hilarious exchange at dinner each saying “that’s my plate” and “mine” when in reality they both had the very same plate and food. Oh 2 year olds!

Then on Saturday we met my friends from college Sydney and Kevin Caudill and their two daughter Aubrey and Reagan at COSI. We had a great time playing and then went out to lunch at Jason’s Deli. It was great to catch up - all of our girls are growing up so fast!

Then today we went to Westerville Christian Church for their Zoo day. We went with Erin and Madison. They had a breakfast then the Columbus Zoo brought 7 different animals for the kids to see- a penguin, dingo, bearcat, armadillo, lynx, tortoise and a fox. Then at the end the kids could go pet the dingo, armadillo and tortoise. It was neat watching the girls faces as they saw the animals. They did so good sitting still through the program as well.

Clap, Clap, Clap your hands

Grace and I have been taking advantage of the nice weather this winter. A few weeks ago we headed over to Innis Wood Metro Park and walked through the gardens.

We’ve also been playing on the slides at Whetstone park.

Every Wednesday morning Grace and I go to We Joy Sing. It’s a music class where the kids sing and dance. We did this last year when Grace was 5 months old and it was a ton of fun. This year though it’s so fun watching her play with the other children and the musical instruments. She loves going to her “sing class” and every week asks about it. We end every session with “clap your hands” and Grace loves to cheer when it’s over. Then the kids get hand stamps that they call “la la’s”.

 

And finally- a big THANK YOU to AUNT SUSAN and UNCLE TOM! Grace got her valentine’s card mobile today and she has been carrying it around all afternoon! She loves it!
