Food!

Grace had her 4 month checkup yesterday.  She weighed in at 19lbs 9oz and 25in long.  WOW! She is off the charts in weight and in the 95% percentile in length.  Our pediatrician said we could start her on rice cereal so today we had our first time with real food.  She did great.  She really wasn’t sure about it at first but was doing pretty well by the end.  She was mostly interested in the bib which she thought was a toy to play with!  

I’m also posting a picture of Grace and Aunt Kelsie. It was taken last weekend while we were home for the wedding. Notice the matching shirts! They were date mates! Now if only Kelsie’s hair was still that color of red they’d be twins! :0)

Wedding

Brian and Angela had a beautiful wedding last weekend.  The rehearsal dinner was at Riceland and it was warm, but the food was great.  Grace was tuckered out!

The wedding was beautiful. Grace did great with the pictures before hand and did really well throughout the wedding and reception.  It was great to see everyone and of course to show off Grace!

4 months old!

Grace turned 4 months old last weekend.  I can’t believe how fast she is growing!

 

She loves bath time and splashing around in the tub and especially being wrapped up in her ducky towel! (Although I think it’s almost time to move her into the big tub as her bathtub is getting too small!)

She also is starting to enjoy her exersaucer.  She doesn’t tolerate it for a long period of time but loves that she can look out when in it.

This past Monday we walked with Erin and Madison Yoh.  It was great to see them again.  Erin starts back to school next week so hopefully we will be able to keep walking occasionally. It’s been so nice to have someone else to talk to about baby stuff! Here are the two of them before our walk- and yes, Madison is almost twice Grace’s age- but they are the same size! Grace is such a little chunky monkey!

Cutie Pa-tootie

I ended up taking Grace to the pediatrician’s office this last week.  She couldn’t quite shake her cold…they think it’s just sinus junk and put her on antibiotics.  Poor girl- I know how much sinus problems stink!  Then after our trip to the doctor we went over to Erin (Ediger) and Jeremy Yoh's for dinner.  Erin and I were supposed to walk that day but it was canceled d/t the doctor’s appointment so she graciously invited us over for dinner.  Everything was so delicious and it was wonderful to get out of the house and have some (normal- adult) conversation.  Madison, their daughter is 8 months old and it is so cute to see how much more interactive she is than Grace.  I can’t wait until they are both old enough to really start playing together! I hope they have as much fun as Erin and I do! We will have to return the favor some night and have them come over here.

Zoo trip!

We took Grace to the zoo today.  I have a membership and have not had the chance to use it yet this year- so last minute Todd and I decided to go over this afternoon.  Ok, so really the trip was more for us as Grace slept through the first half (she even missed the polar bears silly girl!) but still we had a great time.  She did wake up for the second half and watched the fish and the manatees.  I know that she is starting to see more shapes and colors and it was so much fun watching her watch the fish.  She would get real excited when one would swim up close and she would giggle and kick out her legs.  I’m sure she had no idea what was going on- but really enjoyed all the colors and the lights.  All in all we had a great time and I’m looking forward to going back again soon.  So- if you’re ever in Columbus and want to go to the zoo let us know!

I’m tired…so tired!

This is what happens when grace doesn’t nap! This past week she has not been going down for her naps.  She sleeps ok at night- but when it comes time to nap she fights it.  These pictures are of her waiting for her bottle- she almost fell asleep sitting up. Silly girl!

Grace enjoyed swimming again last weekend.  This is her new pool float that even has her own little canopy so we don’t have to worry about keeping her hat on.

 

I’m on a boat!

We were able to go sailing with Carli and Jeremy.  Grace had a great time on her first boat ride- well that is after we took off her hot/tight life jacket! She loved being on the rocking boat and out in the fresh air.

So Big!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted last.  Grace has had a cold the last week and has been feeling a little under the weather.  She’s still got a cough but seems to be feeling a little better today.  We went home over the weekend and Grace went to stay with Grandma Anderson while I went with my family to see the Phantom of the Opera.  It was a great show!

Grace has passed several milestones.  Last week she rolled over for the first time and has rolled over several times since then.  She has no trouble rolling from front to back but then gets stuck and can’t figure out how to get off her back! Then, this last weekend she has begun playing with her tag rags.  She loves to hold them and chew on them.  She’s also been a lot more alert and watching what is going on around her.  She giggles and laughs often (at least when she’s feeling a little better!)
