We’re still here

I can’t believe that January is almost over. Time is flying. Last weekend we went to Dalton to find out the gender of Carli and Jeremy’s baby (it’s a girl!). Grace had so much fun playing with her cousin Kenna.

Then unfortunately I came down with a horrible stomach bug. I think I’m finally on the mend. Today Grace took advantage of mommy being under the weather. We listened to Laurie Berkner’s “We are the Dinosaurs” at least 20 times and trying our hand at finger painting. We started with this:

Which progressed to this:

Thank goodness it’s washable. Grace loved it. and now I have fingerprints on my doors and walls! And last but not least- a few pictures of snow white. I posted these to facebook awhile back but thought i would share them here as well. Grace loves dressing up and especially wearing her princess shoes. I think she just likes the sound they make on the wood floors. Nevertheless she wants to wear them all the time- even when helping me make pizzas for dinner.

Happy 2012

Christmas came and went in a blur this year. Grace and I were able to go home for Christmas eve and day. I was very fortunate that I work with some awesome people who are willing to pick up shifts on Christmas and I didn’t have to work Christmas day after all. It was a great Holiday and I can’t believe it’s 2012 already!

New Year’s Grace spent with her dad and I went out with some friends from work. It was a fun night but I had just as much fun eating sauerkraut with Grace when she came home. Here’s hoping 2012 is less eventful than 2011. I’m ready for a great year!
